Hello all… I know there are a few of you probably wondering WHY I haven’t posted your event yet or WHY I haven’t been quite as quick to reply to email. Here’s your answer (that’s the sign for “I love you” he’s holding up… isn’t he a sweetie?):

Hubbie had ACL replacement surgery yesterday morning, and it’s all I can do to keep up with him!
This is my favorite part of the whole experience yesterday at St. Luke’s… the big “NO” the surgeon wrote on Kelly’s other knee… DON’T CUT HERE! Kinda funny, I thought.

Surgery went great and he’s recovering well (but milking it for all it’s worth in the meantime and keeping me busy! ;) ). I hope to be back on track in a few days here. So don’t panic!! I’m still here and I haven’t forgotten any of you, dear people! I appreciate your patience and prayers!!
I had such a great time hanging out with Sherri and DJ last week. We hit the Heights and got some super cool stuff. These are the kinda folks I’d just wanna be around because they’re so much fun.

And this is Mika! I’m in love with this dog. We don’t have pets around here… I know, it’s mean. We tried a puppy once. But I was still potty training my youngest, and the first thing the poor frightened thing did was poop on my dining room floor. I just didn’t have the patience to train them both. It was the 3 year old or the dog… and I chose the 3 year old. Mika has inspired me to try again
.

Love this expression below… definitely one of my faves!

Another fave… gotta love the backlight.

Feelin’ the love….

Red, red, red… I think it’s gotta be one of my favorite backgrounds. If I ever get around to updating my site, I may go red for my signature color…. hmmmm.

And the BEST for last… love it!

These guys will be tying the knot in October this year. Can’t wait!
We met up at the Crystal Ballroom (Post Rice Lofts) this weekend for Emily’s bridal shoot. She wore her mother’s veil and a vintage 1940’s style gown, so this setting was a perfect match!

these two (top and bottom) were faves for sure…

i try to pull myself away from the “upside down bride on the floor shots”… i really do. it’s not working yet :) .

not to totally take you away from the dramatic romance we’ve got going on here… but this was great. emily says she can get brian (her fiance) to do anything she wants with this face… ha!

this couch was a perfect fit for her vintage look… (i should call it something more elegant than a “couch”, huh?)

and we ended our session out on the balcony…

thanks to Emily, her mom, grandmother and coordinator, Angela, for all the help! it was fun!
