Stephanie & Mike tied the knot this past Saturday at St. Paul’s United Methodist and celebrated at The Houstonian Hotel. It really was a fantastic day. Everything was so well planned and all-around beautiful. We had a great time! Enjoy the faves….

A couple of the highlights for me were the father/daughter dance & the hunt for the garter! They made it so fun to watch!

We did the usual ‘ashley k’ thang and headed into the hotel for a few of my favorites from the day…

Check it out… an awesome ‘ashley k’ style portrait turned hilarious…

Mike decided to give her a ‘look’ and the rest… well, see for yourself! Classic images…

Then they decided to turn their ‘pose’ on…

It really was an awesome day. Stephanie & Mike, it has been so much fun getting to know you & it was an honor to be a part of your wedding! Thank you!

We were able to sneak in a session at the Magnolia hotel before we headed over to Kim Son for Thuy & Quoc’s reception. It’s the perfect backdrop for amazing images! See for yourself…

Thuy & Quoc… thank you for the honor of being a part of your beautiful wedding day! I wish you all the very best!

I met Thuy and Quoc just a few weeks before their wedding day. For an event that was planned so last minute, everything went exceptionally smooth! The day began at Thuy’s parent’s home with a traditional tea ceremony. Even though I couldn’t understand a single word of it, you could cut the emotion in the room with a knife in any language! I have always appreciated the love and respect that is shared during these ceremonies. Coming from an American culture that has lost it’s respect for family, it is refreshing to be a part of a tradition that still holds it dear.

Beautiful Thuy…

The groom arrives at the bride’s home with his family… I loved this shot taken while waiting for Quoc to arrive…

This priest, the uncle of the groom, recalls bringing Quoc over to the states as a boy. A very emotional moment.

Aunts and uncles and cousins all shared a word & a gift & usually a big hug with the bride and groom! Really special…

Next we headed over to Christ Incarnate Word Catholic Church in Sugar Land to get ready for the wedding ceremony. The little room that Thuy got dressed in was nothing much to speak of, but give us a little window light and we’re happy campers!

This was a classic moment. I thought the congregation were the only ones that fought to stay awake during the message. Apparently not!

Up next is their fab session over at the Magnolia!
